About Kevin
Sloan
A native from “Soccer Hotbed” Columbia, Maryland,
where he was a State Team Player, as well as, an All State
Player in High School. in his 18 year Professional soccer career,
he’s has been involved in teaching/instructing camps
and training teams for the last 20 years and his professional
soccer career has allowed him to develop youth soccer players
all over the country. He has resided in the Lower Merion area
for the last 10 years continuing his quest for Youth Development.
Kevin had the distinction of learning from Wiel Coerver in
1984 and applying “Soccer Movement Patterns” to
Camp/Team/Small Group training curriculum. |
- He has been an All Star in every Indoor and Outdoor league
- Represents the U.S National Futsal team.
- He is currently the Philadelphia Kixx Player/Asst. Coach
- 12Th player ever to reach 1000 pts. In a league that’s
been around for 25 years.
- Three time All American at Catawba College, North Carolina,
as well as two-time “District Player of the Year”.
- Won National championships both for Outdoor and Indoor teams.

- Holds his “B” National Coaching License.

Coaching Staff
Philip Karn: Philip is the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Philadelphia University. A native of
Abington, PA, Karn has earned his USSF B coaching license. In 1998, the Columbus Crew of the Major League Soccer (MLS)
drafted Karn after a stellar collegiate career that saw him play aat two nationally recognized NCAA Division 1 programs.
At Penn State, he was selected a two time Big Ten All-Conference selection, where he stands as the second all-time leading
scorer in team history.
Stuart Dobson: Stuart is a native of Beverly, England. As a 15 year Professional Goalkeeper, he's played both
indoor and outdoor soccer at the highest level. He played college soccer at the University of Portland. Stuart is the Asst
Coach for Gloucester Community College and has been involved in the Kevin Sloan Soccer Academy for the past 5 years.
Drew Kopp: Drew is from Lebanon, PA, where he played for the University of Pittsburgh. He's excelled
professionally both indoor & outdoor soccer leagues. Currently the Eastern College Asst. Coach for Men's Soccer program.
He's been coaching Delco teams for the past two years and is currently a player for the Philadelphia Kixx.
Tom Honeyman: Tom is currently the Head Coach for Pennsauken High school, New Jersey. He's excelled as a
player and as an Asst. Coach at St. Joe's University Men's Soccer program. Tom is a teacher at Pennsauken HS, using his
teaching techniques to develop skills and tactical awareness necessary for accelerated growth. Tom has implemented a
mentoring program for the Kevin Sloan Soccer Academy.
Chris Ferhle: Chris is from Philadelphia, PA a graduate of Holy Ghost Prep, Bensalem, PA. He graduated from Syracuse University, where he presently playing for the professional Philadelphia Kixx.
Miles Simmons: A native of Sheffield, England. and current Manchester , England resident. He serves as
an apprentice to the Sheffield United Youth Club. Currently, Miles serves as a Men's Soccer College scout for English
student athletes coming abroad to America. He's been involved in the Kevin Sloan Soccer Academy for the past 5 years.
